Jewelry Care
Perfumes, hairspray, lotions, etc. can affect the appearance of jewelry. If you use any of these products, it is best to put your jewelry on after using them. Certain chemicals such as bleach and cleaning products can also affect the appearance of jewelry. If your jewelry will be exposed when using cleaning products, it is best to remove your jewelry when using them.
Yes, environmental factors like humidity, ocean air, chlorine, and seawater can affect jewelry. Avoid storing jewelry in high-humidity areas like bathrooms, and remove jewelry before activities like showering, exercising, sleeping, or swimming.
To clean jewelry, mix mild soap with warm water, soak the pieces, and gently pat dry with a soft cloth. Use the appropriate polishing cloth designated for the jewelry metal. Caution is advised when polishing 24K Gold Vermeil Style and 14K Gold-Filled jewelry. Use a non-abrasive cloth meant for gold to avoid damage.
Store your jewelry in a plastic zip bag, keeping each piece bagged separately to prevent tangling and scratching.
Materials Used
The materials used include Sterling Silver, 14K Gold-Filled, 24K Gold Vermeil Style, Italian Bronze, Genuine Cultured Freshwater Pearls, Semi-Precious Gemstones, and Swarovski Crystal.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a high-quality metal alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, typically copper. This combination increases durability while preserving silver’s natural beauty and shine. Although it can tarnish over time due to exposure to air and moisture, regular cleaning and proper storage can help maintain its luster.
14K Gold-Filled
14K gold-filled is a high-quality, durable material made by bonding a thick layer of 14-karat gold to the base metal brass. Unlike gold plating, it contains a significant amount of real gold—at least 5% of its total weight—making it more resistant to tarnishing, fading, and wear. It offers the appearance and feel of solid gold at a more affordable price. With proper care, 14K gold-filled jewelry can last for years.
24K Gold Vermeil Style
24K gold vermeil style is a high-quality finish that consists of a thick layer of 24-karat gold plated over a base of sterling silver. The plating process uses 98.5% pure gold and applies a gem-quality plating that is 40 micro inches thick over sterling silver or bronze, with a fine layer of nickel in between.
The fine layer of nickel prevents the silver from migrating through the gold to the surface, which enhances the longevity and durability of the gold plate.
It offers the luxurious look of pure gold at a more affordable price compared to solid gold jewelry. With proper care, it resists tarnishing and wear, making it a popular choice for elegant and long-lasting pieces.
Italian Bronze
Italian Bronze is a high-quality metal alloy composed of approximately 90% copper and 10% tin. Known for its rich, warm golden hue and exceptional durability, it naturally tarnishes and darkens over time, developing a unique patina that adds to its appeal. Tarnish can be easily removed with a polishing cloth.
